TRANSPORTATION

We are pleased to offer transportation to church to those in need. All requests need to be submitted the day prior by 5 pm. This allows for us to ensure each person who has signed up is picked up and our drivers have received this information in a timely manner. Each rider who signs up for transportation agrees to The Hill's transportation policy below. After reviewing the policy, please scroll down to submit a request:

THE HILL TRANSPORTATION PROTOCOL

The Hill Transportation Ministry exists to extend the outreach arm of the ministry by transporting members and visitors to services, commitments and activities related to The Hill. The ministry is also available to assist with special projects and support other ministries. The ministry guidelines are listed below.

1.     The Transportation Ministry consists of The Hill members who volunteer to serve as needed and when scheduled. All questions or transportation needs should be directed to the ministry lead, Associate Pastor Bruce Jackson. The Executive Steward of The Hill, Deacon Meisha Dawson, may be contacted only when necessary.

2. All drivers will pray upon departure and prior to the return trip.

3. Those in need of transportation must sign-up via The Hill website/or appropriate site no later than 5 pm the day before transportation is needed (church service, rehearsals or other engagements involving The Hill). The list of confirmed passengers and addresses is distributed to the team of drivers for review.

4. Transportation cancellations must be submitted 3 hours prior to scheduled pick-up or a $5 fee will be charged. Exceptions will be determined by occasion and occurrence.

5.  Drivers will give a courtesy call to confirm pick-up location and number of passengers before departure. All passengers will be given a 30-minute window of time for the driver’s arrival. All passengers MUST be present and ready to depart upon the driver’s arrival at the pick-up location. Also, passengers must be prepared to depart promptly for return departure. In turn, drivers must be attentive to expedite passengers' safe return home by obeying all traffic laws.

6. All drivers will pray upon departure and prior to the return trip.

7. All passengers will wear a seatbelt and children under 4 years old must ride in a car seat. This is non-negotiable.

8. All drivers and passengers must be respectful in communication and display conduct acceptable to the Lord. Parents must always monitor their child’s behavior. Any repeat offenses of misconduct will result in removal from using transportation services.

9. Remember to take all your belongings and throw away any trash to keep the buses and van clean at all times.

Current as of Feb 27, 2024
