God's Chosen Servant

BISHOP ANTOINE O. McCLURKIN  |  CHIEF STEWARD

“And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding." - Jeremiah 3:15 (NKJV)

First Christian Community @ the Cathedral

Bishop Antoine McClurkin was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, where he graduated with honors from the historic Edmondson-Westside Senior High School. In 1995, he continued his studies at the Baltimore International College where he majored in hospitality and food and beverage management.

Hospitality truly describes this man of God. From the gentle age of 11, he has been preaching the good news of the gospel and he has a heart to share the love of God with all. In many periods of his earlier childhood when it was unpopular to be working in ministry, he was often discouraged and criticized. However, those around Pastor knew there was a peculiar anointing on his life.

In many periods of his earlier childhood when it was unpopular to be working in ministry, he was often discouraged and criticized. However, those around Pastor knew there was a peculiar anointing on his life. Under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Edward R. McClurkin, this young man began his preaching and teaching ministry at the First Mount Carmel Christian Community Church. His first sermon was entitled, “You’ve Got the Power,” which he preached to a packed sanctuary at the Ellicott City Church of God.

In January of 1996, Elder McClurkin was licensed to preach.  His trial sermon was entitled, “Where Do I Go from Here.”  Men and woman, including dozens of clergymen, came from every part of the city and state of Maryland to hear this young man of God preach.  Needless to say, they gathered and marveled at the unique and fiery style of preaching that emanated from such a young man.

Bishop McClurkin has served in many different capacities in three local churches from the chef in the kitchen to master chef in the pulpit. He has and still serves on several boards throughout the state of Maryland. Bishop McClurkin currently serves as the vice president of the United Council of Christian Community Churches of Maryland and Vicinity.  With tenures serving at the First Mount Carmel Church, with Pastor Edward McClurkin, and at New Psalmist Baptist Church with Bishop Walter Scott Thomas Jr., he has served faithfully and humbly to the glory of almighty God. Now is the time — while the call was placed on his life in his mother’s womb and later prophesied by Bishop J. Carrington at the age of 14, that he would be a pastor to thousands — the reality of that call is now.  To God Be the glory for the great things that will be made manifest in the earth realm because of the work of his ministry. Through humility, perseverance, faith and by the wisdom of God, this Bishop launches into his kingdom assignment. Bishop McClurkin is under the covering and leadership of Bishop Neil C. Ellis, and the Global United Fellowship (GUF) headquartered in Nassau, Bahamas.

Bishop McClurkin is married to his high school sweetheart Lady Felicia D. McClurkin, who is truly a woman of great humility and virtue.  He is also the proud father of Isaiah O’Neal, Miss Corthne, and young masters Elijah and Isaac-Antoine. Bishop and his family currently reside in the Anne Arundel County area.
